Range

842 Valencia St
San Francisco, CA 94110

Occasion: My belated bday dinner/catchup session with my bAbiE Tiff 3.30.10=] I was totally looking forward to try the coffee rubbed pork shoulder to knock off another item on the BIG EATS SF LIST, but unfortunately its a seasonal dish and we went during the wrong season.

Little Gem Lettuce with walnuts, radishes and bleu cheese vinaigrette
This is only a picture of half the portion. They were nice enough to split it in two for us to share. I didn't really taste the vinaigrette dressing. It sounded really appetizing, but it didn't taste the way I expected it to. It was very nicely presented though. Sorry but nothing special for me.

Pork sausage, glazed rib and braised belly with carrot puree, pea shoots and pickled shallots.
The meat was pretty tender, the vegetables were too salty. Nothing that memorable about this dish.
Oven roasted chicken with a pancetta, rapini and fromage blanc bread salad
Chicken was moist and tender. It was better than the other dish. I loved how there was a chunk of goat cheese(?), which I ate with the chicken. The bread salad reminded me of soaked croutons and were pretty tasty.
