Ike's Place

3605 16th Street
San Francisco, CA 94114

Occasion: Sunday Lunch! I've always wanted to give this place a try and so we did when we couldn't decide what to eat. We waited over an hour in line to order, then 10 more minutes for our sandwiches after we had ordered.

Menage-a-Trois
Halal Chicken Breast, real honey, honey mustard, BBQ, pepperjack, swiss, smoked gouda
My favorite of the three sandwiches. So rich in flavo. You got sweet going on, savory going on and even a tad bit of spice. I loved the combination of flavors in this sandwich. Definitely worth being on SF BIG EATS 2010:# 100 Menage a Trois at Ike's Place.
Jeries' Big Meat Sandwich
Turkey, roast beef, pastrami, ham , salami and jack
The classic all meat sandwich. It's definitely a guys sandwich because it's too much meat for me. It was good, but I just don't like all that meat in my sandwich. There's just too much going on there for me. I like all these meats as separate sandwiches. I like to actually taste what I'm eating, but because there's so many flavors in one bite, it's hard to distinguish all the different flavors as some flavors overpower others.
Nacho Boy
Hot Roast Beef, mushrooms, avocado and swiss with their dirty sauce
Out of the three sandwiches, this was my second favorite. We had it on dutch crunch with everything except jalepenos. The sandwich consisted a lot of my favorite ingredients:avocados, mushrooms and swiss. I also liked how the roast beef was warm. I don't know what's in their dirty sauce, but it makes the sandwich taste so much better!
