New Orleans Iced Coffee and a Gibraltar I was tired and felt like getting some coffee and I wanted to knock off another item on the BIG EAT SF: 28. A Gibraltar at Blue Bottle Coffee. I really do taste the difference between other coffees and blue bottle coffees, and I must admit blue bottle's the best. It's the strongest and the most aromatic. My gibraltar was really strong, and I had to add some sugar in it. I really liked how it was a mix between a latte and a cappucino. Loved the top layer of foam, which is rare because I think its disgusting usually. I guess it just depends who makes it, because making foam is a skill...it needs to be the right consistency. I'm impressed not only by blue bottle's coffee but the artistic skills in the workers who make cute little fancy designs on the coffee and the way their employees know how to make good foam.
