Bushi-Tei

1638 Post St
San Francisco, CA 94115

Occasion: Belated Bday dinner/catch up session with my big sis <3>

Complimentary bite sized crab cake
Delicious. Crab chunks were big and juicy. Nice little treat before dinner.
Complimentary in house made bread with house made chips and butter with sea salt
This was a delight. The chips were very special. There were grains of deep fried rice in it. The butter was sprinkled with sea salt. Very delicious.

Big eye tuna tartare
with tobiko, wasabi- crèze fraiche, coriander seed, herb oil
My big sis knows me so well. She knew that this is what I would have wanted to order as an appetizer. Loved it. Presentation and taste. I was afraid that the wasabi would over power the taste of everything else, but nope. Also loved how they had chunks of avocado as well.

Lobster and Crab Salad
with chrysanthemum leaf, papaya, bacon, ginger cream, curry oil
Loved the mix of flavors here. There was a generous amount of lobster and crab chunks, which I liked. The the chunks of the papaya in the salad complimented the tastes of the seafood. It was a delight to bite into the hidden pieces of bacon bits. Curry oil added uniqueness to the salad as did the chrysanthemum leaves, but I wasn't too fond of the leaves. I've had lobster/crab salads before, but none like this. Very impressed by this dish.
Day boat sea scallop
with saffron Yukon potato chowder, pop over
It was cooked to perfection, as the scallops were nice and tender. These scallops were huge. Popover didn't wow me though. I still enjoyed this though. Excellent choice for all those scallop lovers. YUM
Big eye tuna
with rock shrimp risotto, crispy shallot, coconut red curry
It just doesn't get any better. Loved this dish as well. We definitely ordered all the right dishes. Tuna seared to my liking!! Risotto was delicious. I was seriously ready to lick the plate when I finished almost everything that was left. The coconut curry definitely spiced up the flavor of the whole dish. Another dish upon all the other great ones that I would recommend.
Caramelized banana
with black rice pudding, banana ice cream
Never had anything like this before. I mean I've had fried bananas with ice cream, but this was something different. The black rice pudding was a first for me and definitely a delight. The crunchy texture of the roasted almonds went well with the soft caramelized banana. A great way to end the night=]
