Restaurant LuLu

816 Folsom St
(between 4th St & 5th St)
San Francisco, CA 94107
Occasion: B's going away party 6.18.10! We started drinking at like 530pm..started at the bar for some happy hour drinks...which led to wine at the table. And I can honestly say that my judgement on the taste and the presentation of the food is definitely not as sharp as it could have been. I don't regret that because I had a blast=] None of us wanted to think, so we just decided on the chef's menu, basically whatever the chef decided to cook for us! I'll update this one as I slowly figure out what each dish is. I think this entry will best be for looks and pics since  I have a very faint memory on the taste of the food.

Mussels
How can you possibly go wrong with these. They were amazing!

Romaine and Feta Salad with Strawberries and Pistachios

Ribs

Some chicken dish
Ravioli

Sea Scallops La Plancha with a Peach, Grilled Onion and Wilted Spinach Salad and White Balsamic Vinaigrette
I remember loving the scallops and I kept on picking on those white beans. DELISH!

Chocolate Souffle

I remember this being my favorite dessert!!

Catch

2362 Market Street
San Francisco, CA 94114

Occasion: Monthly catch up session with my Big Sis during June DAT. My big sis ordered from the DAT menu and I just ordered off of the regular menu. 06.15.10

Spinach salad with walnuts and feta cheese
I love any kind of salad with walnuts and feta cheese. Nice light refreshing way to start our meal.

Dungeness Crab Cakes with Italian tomato salsa
The tomato salsa had chopped up pieces of mangos in it. YUMMAY! The tangy sweetness of the mango went really well with the savory rich flavor of the crab cake. Definitely a delight!

Lobster Fettucine
My pick! Delicious and very rich in flavor. They were very generous with the amount of lobster! It was nice and chunky and when you chewed you can taste and feel the texture of the lobster meat. YUM!

Linguine frutti di mare
My big sis really liked it and she likes dishes that has saffron as an ingredient. I might not have been accustomed to the saffron flavor, which is why I probably enjoyed my dish more. But it wasn't bad!

Bread Pudding
Perfect ending to our night! Not as good as the bread pudding I had at my work's holiday party though! It was still good!

Anh Hong

808 Geary Street (and Hyde)
San Francisco, Ca 94109

Occasion: Tiff comes back to SF...and of course she gets to pick what she wants to eat. This is her favorite restaurant of all time. Well maybe not of all time, but since they don't have it in NY...she's got to get her fix while she's back home! SEVEN COURSE BEEF!

I first had the 7 course beef at Pagaloc and I must admit that this place is so much better than Pagaloc. It's not only more filling but it also tastes a lot better! I'm a fan!

Miyabi Sushi

393 Bay Street
San Francisco, CA 94133

Occasion: Sunday night dinner. Something close by in the neighborhood!

Tomago
Sweet soft steamed egg. It's so good. Thank you Ella for introducing this to me. It goes really well with rice. It's simple, eggy and good. I haven't had it at too many places and just recently discovered this, so I haven't really been able to compare with those offered at other Japanese restaurants. All I know is that I like the flavor of it because it's eggy.

Complimentary Salad
Nothing special, but great to snack on while you're waiting for your food!
Salmon Teriyaki with Sashimi Combo
Generous portion of salmon served on a nice little platter! I like how the fish meat was not overcooked which dries up the meat leaving the meat with a harder, less tender texture. It was tender and moist, just how I liked it. I was really satisfied and very full by the end of the meal. I think I've found my neighborhood Japanese restaurant! The sashimi was not the freshest, but it was decent!

Tacolicious

2031 Chestnut Street
San Francisco, CA 94111

Occasion: After walking around Union Street Fair...walked over to Tacolicious to try their Ahi Tuna Tacos with avocado! Came with my fellow foodies=]

Tuna Tostadas for 5
We came here specifically for their Ahi Tuna Taco, which we thought were on the SF BIG EATS 2010. Since we were all stuffed from street fair food, we didn't have much of an appetite to eat anything big. We each ordered the tuna tostadas. I loved it. I've never had raw fish as a mexican meal before. It reminded me of tuna tartar on a tortilla. Delicious!

Union Street Festival

Occasion: Fooding at Union Street Festival 6.05.10!

BBQ Garlic Oysters

Garlic Fries

GARLIC= YUMMILICIOUS =]

Tai Wu Mr. Fong's Restaurant

950 King Drive
Daly City, CA 94015

Occasion: Mei's Wedding Banquet! 6.1.10

Appetizer Sampler
Fried Shrimp Balls with Crab
Beef and Veggie Stirfry
Shark fin Soup
Mushrooms with Mustard Greens
Soy Sauce Chicken
Lobster
Fish
Lo Mien

After awhile, Chinese food starts tasting the same. I am only able to detect with my taste buds, what's disgusting and what's absolutely amazing. Food here was decent. Nothing extraordinarily good, but nothing too bad either.

Lovejoy's Tea Room

1351 Church Street
San Francisco, CA 94114

Occasion: Brought ELE out for brunch when she came up for Memorial Day Weekend. 5.30.10. Picked her up from the airport after a night of partying with only4 hours of sleep!

Tea for Two
It came with two pots of tea, scones, crumpets, and mini sandwiches with some salad. It might not seem like a lot of food, but we were stuffed! I loved the selection of sandwiches and my favorite would probably be the curry chicken even though the smoked salmon with cream cheese came close! We also had cucumber with cream cheese and from what I can remember...tuna...or something. They were all really good and very light. The place is very cutesy and all the waitresses as well as the host were dressed in Victorian era clothing. It's cute and everything in there had a vintage feel to it...besides the people who are eating there! Loved my experience there!

Osha Thai Noodle Cafe

696 Geary Street
San Francisco, CA 94102

Occasion: After clubbing grubbing! The only place we could think of going to eating at after Infusion! I did not participate in the ordering, just the eating!

Chicken Stir-fry with rice
Nothing special, it was just good to have a variety of foods late at night.

Vegetarian Crispy Roll
Silver noodles, dried mushrooms, cabbage and carrots served with sweet & sour plum sauce.
Definitely not what I had expected. It was honestly, not that great. I'm used to the flavorful and seafood filled spring rolls from vietnamese restaurants.

Fried Rice
It's a good late night snack! Not something I would usually order if I go to Osha Thai, but it was satisfying after a night out=]

Pad See Ew with beef
Stir-fried rice noodles, Chinese broccoli, egg, garlic and black soy sauce I can never get sick of this dish. It reminds me of Chinese chow fun, which is an absolute favorite of mine. You can never go wrong with this dish for me...well of course unless I'm sick!

Thai Satay Chicken strips on skewer, grilled and served with cucumber salad and peanut sauce.
First time ordering skewers from Osha Thai. They were decent and were very tasty with the peanut sauce.
