Reibekuchen mit hausgemachtem Apfelmus
Potato Pancakes with Homemade Apple Sauce
Their potato pancakes were so delicious.  I thought McDonald's hash brown was bomb diggity, but this definitely beats McDonald's by a few home runs!!  The inside was mushy, moist and flavorful and the outside was fried to a crispy golden brown.  I was afraid the apple sauce would remind me of those canned gerber baby ones that I've seen at a recent baby shower, but no not this one.  This had a little bit of a cinnamon spice and was sweet with a tad bit of tang.  It went really well with the potato pancakes.
Anita's roasted chicken with potato pancakes
The chicken was delicious and super juicy and tender with a slightly crisped skin.  She'd had it before and knew that it would be something she'd like, so she went for something she's familiar with. Good choice.
Jägerschnitzel in Champignonsoße mit Spätzle und grünem Salat
Sauteed Porkloin in Mushroom Sauce served with Spätzle & Green Salad
My dish and it was so good.  "What is spatzle?" I asked our waitress.  She explained that it was a starch that resembled a pasta.  It kind of reminded me of gnocchi, well at least the texture of it did.  It was pretty good, but not the highlight of the dish.  The mushroom sauce that drowned the porkloin was what did it for me.  It complemented the tender and juicy porkloin very well. The green salad it came with was also delicious.  It was simple and came with big leaves of lettuce that was drizzled with some kind of a sweet but tangy dressing.  Loved my dish.
Wiener Schnitzel vom Schwein mit Bratkartoffeln und Grünem Salat
Breaded and Sauteed Porkloin with Roasted Potatoes & Green Salad
I got to try some of this as well and thought it was pretty good.  I'm not usually the one to order the deep fried item, unless it's an absolute must get item, or if the place is known for it.  I liked that it wasn't too greasy like most fried foods and the fact that the batter wasn't too thick.  The meat was thin and full of flavor  The potatoes however, were just decent.

Bratwurst
We just wanted to get a sausage at a German restaurant.  It wasn't anything spectacular or anything to rave about.
