Occasion: Small intimate dinner get together planned by Giac. Diana's pretty low key when it comes to her birthday and never really celebrates. Giac had suggested a small little surprise get together after our Cabo Trip. We seriously returned the night before and the next day...I get to see their beautiful faces again. A delicious dinner cooked by Chef Giac...very sweet! 09.13.11
Appetizer platter to start
Nice little snack to have before dinner was served. We were starving, so this tasted really good.
Salad with romaine lettuce, chopped tomatoes and chopped mozzarella
Nice, light and refreshing with balsamic vinegar and olive oil. YUM!
Sauteed chicken with capers and caramelized onions
Flavorful and cooked perfectly. I hate it when chicken is over cooked or when it's undercooked. Chicken's hard to cook, but Giac did an amazing job! Thanks for having us over=]
Garlic Bread
Our yummy starch that Giac made out of scratch...well not really he made his own garlic spread. Love love loved it. I hate it when there's not enough garlic, but it wasn't the case for him...it was perfect.
Ice Cream Cake
Ended our evening with some dessert that Giac had bought. Diana doesn't like regular cake or sweets in general. The only type of cake she likes is ice cream cake, so that's what she got! We didn't have candles, so we had to use a candle they had in their living room! I'm not sure where it's from, but it was delicious!
