Scoma's Of Sausalito

588 Bridgeway
Sausalito, CA 94965

Occasion: Birthday Dinner on my actual birthday. March 9, 2009. I actually got some upsetting news that night right before dinner, but after a delicious seafood meal, I forgot that I was even upset. IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!!! I loved this location because it has a beautiful view of the city. One of the best birthday dinner's in years <3

Lazy Man's Cioppino
A fisherman's stew of crab, prawns, scallops, clams, fish and bay shrimp in a tomato garlic and white wine broth served with garlic toasts
They served a generous portion of a combination of seafood in the tomato like broth. It was full of flavor. The broth went well with bread. I love to dip bread in broth that is full of flavor. Yum!

Grilled Ahi Tuna
Fresh Ahi grilled rare coated with sesame seeds served with wasabi-soy sauce and pickled ginger, mashed potatoes
I absolutely love grilled ahi tuna. Cooked on the inside, but not completely cooked in the inside. The portion was big and it looked like it was made in a shape of a Heart. I wasn't able to finish it due to the delicious appetizers we ordered. I loved everything about it, except the little bit of wasabi taste. I am not very fond of wasabi, but if you are, this dish is excellent. Why do people always mix fish with wasabi? Is it to take away the fishy smell of the fish? I actually do not have a problem with it and like the smell.

Calamari Balabrese
Deep fried squid tossed in spicy tomato and red pepper sauce with mushrooms
You can never go wrong with calamari. It was nice and crispy with mushroom surprises in between pieces of the calamari. Squeeze a little bit of lemon juice over it and dip it in their tartar sauce= delicious!

Dungeness Crab Cocktail
Tasted so fresh. I love seafood and I love crab. It went perfect with their cocktail sauce, which was very addiciting. I LOVED this appetizer and could not stop picking at it...even when our food had arrived.
