Occasion: Just felt like wining and dining during the Dine About Town for June 2009. We both ordered the three course meal from the DAT menu. I really wanted to try the crab salad on the DAT menu, but they weren't offering it. I still enjoyed everything I had. YUM! I heard that they named the restaurant after their daughter, Isabella.
We had to wait a good 15 minutes for this dessert to come out. Why? Because they bake the chocolate cake fresh. I absolutely loved it because it was still nice and warm. Grab a scoop of the vanilla bean gelato and a spoonful of chocolate cake= orgasm in mouth. It complimented each other very well.
It wasn't bad, but I didn't really like the caramelized sugar glaze on top. It was too thick for my liking. I like it when its thin and it breaks and melts in your mouth. Other than that, we still enjoyed the creme brulee.
I've had better! I didn't think this dish was all that great, maybe because I'm not big on meat. I felt that the meat was a little to bland and the meat was a little on the rough side! The plate was too big for the amount of food that was actually on the plate. This dish didn't impress me. sorry.
Out of the two entrees I liked this more. The fish was cooked to the right tenderness for my liking. It went very well with the string beans, corn and baby tomatoes.
Salmon Tartar
It tasted fresh and I loved having it with their baked crunchy toast like bread, the capers added a little zest to it.
The best I've had at any restaurant! This was our waiter's FAVORITE dish. I am so glad we tried it! I love raw tuna and avocado, so I had to get this when I saw it on the menu. The fish tasted so fresh and with a dab of the soy...it just melted in my mouth .
