Sushi Bistro

431 Balboa Street
San Francisco, CA 94118

Occasion: Dinner date with my minilover. August 2010. **Pics from camera phone**

Butterfish Blasters
with snow crab meat and avocado wrapped in butterfish torched with a garlic-soy
AMAZING and absolutely delicious. A must get dish that you will not regret. I just love the taste of butterfish, which is seared. Avocado and crab meat stuffed in a roll. You can not go wrong with this dish.

Hawaiian Breeze
with mango, avocado and fuji apple, topped with tuna, macadamia nuts and cilantro pesto
I've had it before and  I had to get it again! Delicious, and my minilover agrees too! Not your typical Japanese authentic sushi roll, but I'd still recommend it.
Monster-in-Law
with chopped spicy albacore, cucumber topped with yellowtail, jalapenos, spicy and ponzu sauce.
Not my favorite of the rolls we ordered. I'm not big on spicy, therefore I didn't like it much.
Ahi Tower
with lightly seared ahi tuna topped on grilled zucchini and asparagus, served with house spicy sauce.
It was decent, but not great. What appealed to me was the grilled zucchini and asparagus, which were ok.  I didn't think the spicy sauce complimented the seared ahi tuna. I wish I took the waiter's advice and went for the tuna poke instead.
