Stella Pastry & Cafe

446 Columbus Street
San Francisco, CA 94133

Occasion: After dinner dessert.

Sacripantina Cake
A multilayered cake made with a vanilla sponge cake, zabaione (a delicate custard made with egg yolks, sweet butter, marsala and sherry wine) cream, and rum.
One word: Legit! So good. It reminds me of a tirimisu cake, but less rich in flavor.  The sponge cake is moist and the cream filling is delicious. Definitely scrumptious!

Cannoli
Tube shaped crispy shell that is filled with sweetened ricotta cheese and chocolate chips
I first had it in NYC last year an I wasn't too fond of it, so I was hesitant in giving it a second chance. Surprisingly, I it wasn't too bad here. Though a bit on the sweet side, it was pretty good.
