Occasion: Dinner with the lil sis 5.1.10. After hanging out looking for heart sculptures in the city and after Anthony's cookies we headed here for dinner.

Selection of six ceviche tasting
If you like fresh raw fish, I would highly suggest getting it. It's a great starter and you get to try a variety of different things which I'm all for. They also have tasting selections of either 3 or 4 different types. I would say go for the selection of six, I promise that you will not regret it!

ceviche chino ahi tuna tartare, avocado, ponzu sauce, aji verde, lettuce cups, wonton chips. Very fresh and very delicious. It has a sweet tangy taste to it, probably due to the ponzu sauce. Out of the 6 ceviche dishes we tried, this was my 4th favorite. It's not that it wasn't good because all 6 were absolutely amazing, it's just that if I had to rate them I would rate it number 4 out of the 6.
salmon ceviche salmon, passion-fruit, lime, pink peppercorns, cucumber shiso leaf, andean corn, cancha.
Out of the 6, this was my 5th favorite. The salmon was really fresh, buttery and really good. What I wasn't too fond of about this ceviche was the chunks of passionfruit, which tasted like pineapple. I just wasn't feeling the flavor of it.

tiradito kona kanpachi sashimi, jalapeƱo, soy, white truffle oil, andean corn.
My second favorite of the 6! The fish was fresh the flavor was amazing. I like how it was thinly sliced and was able to fit right into my mouth. The jalapeno was not too spicy, thank goodness. It must have been the truffle oil. Truffle makes everything taste good.

ceviche de coco
white tuna, lime-coconut water, mango, aji limo, scallions, ginger, red peppers, basil, plantains.
This was my favorite out of the 6. It somehow reminded me of seared tuna. I know they're all raw, but the outsides had the texture of seared tuna, while the insides were raw. I think it might be the chemical reaction of lime juice and raw tuna that somehow cooks the fish. The flavor was absolutely amazing. It had a hint of coconut flavor which complimented very well with the rest of the flavors in this dish. There were chopped up pieces of ginger that surprised my taste buds, but were very delightful. I just loved the combination of flavors. I highly recommend this one!

ceviche costanera
halibut, octopus, scallops, ginger, scallion, cucumber, cilantro, aji rocoto, soy sauce
This was our least favorite of the 6, but it was still good, just not as good as the other ones. Loved the variety of seafood in this tasting. I loved the taste of cilantro in it, but I wasn't crazy about the soy sauce.
ceviche 5 elementos
the traditional peruvian ceviche; halibut, lime juice, rocoto, red onion, sea salt.
My third favorite out of the 6. The halibut was amazing and delightful to bite into. It was nice and meaty. It was simple, but great. This is definitely another dish worth trying!

conchitas
seared jumbo diver scallops, peruvian quinoa sofrito, plantain tostones, cilantro pistou.
This was highly recommended by our waiter and I am so glad I listened to him. If you like scallops, I would highly recommend this dish. The scallops were seared to perfection and was topped with peruvian goodness. Not exactly sure what everything was but there was definitely a party in my mouth. It was filled with flavors. Oh and the plantain chips went perfectly well with it. I was really happy with this dish.
lomo saltado
wok fried tenderloin steak strips, onion, tomato, cilantro, soy, french fries, steamed rice
This is actually my second time eating this. First time was at Mi Lindo. I would have to say the overall dish at Mi Lindo was better, but the beef strips here were full of flavor and very tasty. It was good, but not great. I wish we ordered the paella instead.
