Chicago, IL 60654
Occasion: After a morning at the Shedd Aquarium, which by the way was AMAZING, we made our way back to Portillo's for a second visit so that Henry could have one last Chicago hot dog before he left. Since I had already taken a picture of the hot dog on our prior visit, it is not pictured in this blog. 07.04. 11
Grilled Tuna Sandwich
Grilled yellowfin tuna filet with lettuce, tomato, red onion, and our homemade tartar sauce on a toasted bun
After a weekend of feasting on some scrumplicious and heart attack like foods, I tried to eat something a little healthier. This looked really good on the menu, but it just tasted okay to me. It's a little on the bland side. I love fish everything especially when it's prepared in a somewhat healthy way. The bun was really filling and I didn't end up finishing the bun, but I ate all of the fish.
Italian Beef Sandwich
Chicago's #1 Italian Beef on french bread with added sweet peppers
I liked this more because the bread wasn't super soggy, which was easier to eat and less messy. Though the beef at Al's beef was better. Henry definitely liked Al's Beef more!
