Chouchou

400 Dewey Blvd
San Francisco, CA 94116

Occasion: Dine about town with the girls!

Frisee Salad
AMAZING! Loved the pancetta bits in the salad. The poached egg was perfect. Love the blend of flavors in the salad. The waiter highly recommended it and I'm glad I got it.
Mussels
The bowl was huge!! The flavor of the mussel was nothing that I've tasted before. It was cooked in white wine which definitely added a kick to it. One of my friends said, "These are the best mussels I've ever had." This dish was the most worth it and stood out the most out of all our dishes that night.

Salmon
with tuna tartar and a bit of fettucine
The piece of salmon was very small and dry. There were barely a handful of tuna tartar, which only tasted mediocre. Fettucine was also just a handful and tasted very bland. This dish did not impress me at all.
Filet Mignon
with spinach and a ball of fried risotto and goat cheese
The portion of meat was very little. Seemed like a 4oz piece of meat, but we were informed that it would be a 10oz-11oz of meat. The sweet sauce went well with the meat. Spinach was drenched in the sauce, making it a bit too sweet. The fried ball was different. Definitely not something I'm used to. Love the rich taste of goat cheese that went well with the risotto. Overall the dish was just ok.
My medium rare filet and the fried ball of surprise

Strawberry Bruscetta with mint coulis and vanilla ice cream
It was a very refreshing dessert. Fruits and ice cream. It was good, nothing spectacular, but it still pleased the taste buds.

Pear Tart
Delicious. I didn't think I'd like it, but the crust was delicious! Tasted really fresh and its so worth getting.
