Carrot [left] Passionfruit [right]Over the years I've grown to like carrot cupcakes, carrot muffins and carrot cakes. I used to be grossed out at the thought of carrots being put in sweet desserts, but I have come to the realization that its actually really good. The cupcake was nice and moist, filled with raisins. The cream cheese frosting was just a tad bit too much for me. I ended up scraping most of the frosting off.
The passionfruit cupcake on the other hand was made with a vanilla cake base filled with passionfruit cream and topped with a buttercream. It sounded weird to me at first, because it was hard for me to imagine a tropical fruit flavor in a cupcake. To my surprise it was VERY VERY delicious. It was nice and light and the passionfruit filling was tangy and absolutely refreshing. I am so glad i gave it a try.
